MY BOYFRIEND EXPLAINS MAKE-UP

Hi guys! I know you’ve probably read posts like this one before, but I really really wanted to make one about make up after I made the fashion one (My Boyfriend Explains Fashion), so today you can read this little interview I made him and in this occasion he’ll be explaining some make up/beauty terms to you guys. I hope you really enjoy this as much as I did, cause I know some of you guys really really liked his answers on the previous post lol and he’s such a good sport.

¡Hola! Sé que quizá ya leyeron varios posts como éste anteriormente, pero de verdad tenía ganas de hacer uno sobre maquillaje después de hacer el de moda (My Boyfriend Explains Fashion), así que hoy pueden leer ésta pequeña entrevista que le hice a mi novio en la que explica ciertos términos de maquillaje. Espero lo disfruten tanto como yo, ya sé que a varios de ustedes les gustó el anterior, y además el está encantado de ayudar.

Me: What is a primer?
Bae: It’s what you put underneath it all…
Me: What for?
Bae: For… for… it to blend?

Yo: ¿Qué es un primer?
Bae: Es lo que te pones abajo de todo…
Yo: ¿Para qué?
Bae: Para… para… que se revuelva bien

What is foundation?
Oh! Yeah that too! It’s like the first color you put on your face, right? And on top of that you apply everything else, to even it all out.

¿Qué es una base?
¡Ah! ¡Eso también! Es como el primer color que te pones en la cara, ¿no? y encima de eso aplicas todos los demás, para como, homogeneizar el color.

What is blush?
Blush, it’s like a color here *touches cheeks* 

¿Qué es un blush?
Rubor, es como un colorcito aquí *se toca las mejillas*

What is a concealer?
When you hide something you messed up, (I laugh), concealer? It’s like, lighter, right?
But what is it for?
For… light

¿Qué es el corrector?
Cuando te equivocas escribiendo con pluma (me río), es como, más claro, ¿no?
Pero, ¿para qué sirve?
Para… luz

Kabuki brush?
It’s like this *makes a fan in the air*
No (I laugh again)
No, I’ve no idea…

Brocha Kabuki
Es así *hace un abanico en el aire*
No (me río de nuevo)
No tengo la menor idea

What is a Beauty Blender?
I imagine you use it to blend different colors (I then explain what it looks like and how it works, he remembers mine)

¿Qué es un Beauty Blender?
Me imagino que lo usas para mezclar diferentes tonos (Entonces le explico cómo se ve y cómo funciona, recuerda que yo tengo una)

¿What is mascara?
What goes in here *point to the inside of his lid* what you put here, on the inside of your eyes, of your lids.

¿Qué es el rímel?
Lo que va aquí *señala la parte interior del párpado* lo que te pones aquí, en los contornos del ojo, bueno, de los párpados.

What is eyeliner?
Oh no, then mascara is the one for your lashes and eyeliner is what I said before *I laugh a lot*

¿Qué es un delineador?
Ah no, entonces el rímel es para tus pestañas y el delineador es lo que dije antes *me río más*

What is a palette?
It’s where you have different colors?

¿Qué es una paleta?
¿Es donde tienes diferentes colores?

What is a fixer?
What you put on so color won’t wash away

¿Qué es un fijador?
Lo que te pones para que no se caiga el color

What does a matte lipstick look like?
Not shinny

¿Cómo se ve un labial mate?
No brilla
