VITAGOODS SCALP MASSAGING SHAMPOO BRUSH REVIEW

Hey there! How was the week for you? Mine kept me pretty busy, but hey! I managed to post thrice this week, so I’m really happy about that. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll remember that a few weeks ago I did an unboxing of the things I got from the Amazon Prime Day, and one of those things was this scalp massaging shampoo brush from vitagoods (this post is not sponsored in any way, however it does contain affiliate links) and many of you asked me for a review of it once I finally tried it, so as I promised, here it is.

¡Hola! ¿Cómo los trató la semana? La mía me mantuvo bastante ocupada, pero oigan, ¡logré publicar tres veces ésta semana! lo cual me tiene super contenta. Si me siguen en  Instagram, recordarán que hace unas semanas hice un unboxing de las cosas que compré durante el Amazon Prime Day, y una de esas cosas fue este cepillo masajeador de cuero cabelludo para shampoo (este post no está patrocinado para nada, pero sí tiene links afiliados) y muchas de ustedes me pidieron una reseña una vez que por fin lo probara, así que como les prometí, aquí está.

PACKAGING

I thought the packaging was pretty cute in a minimal way, and that it contains plenty of information about the brand and the product itself, on the inside the brush comes perfectly packed to avoid any damage, it’s also a great way to store the brush when it’s not being used.

EMPAQUE

El empaque me pareció bastante lindo en su estilo minimalista, y me agradó que contiene bastante información sobre la marca y el producto, por dentro el cepillo está muy bien empacado para evitar daños, además de que después resulta una buena opción para guardarlo cuando no lo estás usando.

THE BRUSH

The outer shell of the brush is made of hard plastic and has a handle that I think is comfy and practical, the bristles are pretty soft and are made of silicone so it doesn’t hurt at all when you use it on your scalp. I like the fact that it is actually waterproof and it is safe to use with your shampoo/conditioner in the shower, but it can also be used dry for a great scalp massage, and also, it has two different intensities depending on your preference.

I’ve been using it for some weeks now and I’m happy, I’m not sure I see any difference with my hair yet but it does help me relax when I’m stressed, or too tense as I tend to get tension headaches so I’m loving that it helps with those too. After I’m done using it I feel my scalp tingling from the increased circulation which I hear has many benefits such as increased hair growth and a healthier and cleaner scalp. My hair is naturally wavy  and this helps distributing my scalp oils through the rest of my hair, so i think natural haired ladies will really see a benefit in using this brush.

I’d love to see a difference in hair growth since I want to grow it out, but my hair already grows pretty fast on its own, so I’m not sure if I’ll see even more growth after using this for a while (I’ll keep you posted on this)

What I’ve been really thinking about is the part that it works with batteries, you’ll need a AA battery for this, and you’ll need to unscrew the lid to change it, but the brush comes with its own tiny screwdriver which I think is a nice touch, I haven’t really been using it enough for the battery to run out, but maybe rechargable batteries would be great for it.

EL CEPILLO

La parte externa del cepillo está hecha de plástico rígido y tiene una agarradera que me parece bastante cómoda y práctica, las cerdas son de silicona y son bastante suaves así que no lastiman para nada cuando lo usas en tu cuero cabelludo. Me agrada el hecho de que es a prueba de agua por lo que puedes usarlo tranquilamente en la regadera con tu shampoo o acondicionador, pero también puedes usarlo en seco para un masaje delicioso, además tiene dos velocidades diferentes dependiendo de tus preferencias.

Tengo un par de semanas usándolo y estoy contenta con mi compra, aún no estoy segura de si veo alguna diferencia pero sí he notado que me ayuda a relajarme si estoy estresada sobre todo porque suelen darme dolores de cabeza cuando estoy muy tensa así que amo que hasta para eso sirva. Cuando acabo de usarlo siento mi cabeza hormigueando por la circulación que se incrementa y dicen que esto tiene muchos beneficios tales como como promover el crecimiento del cabello así como un cuero cabelludo más limpio y sano. Mi cabello es naturalmente ondulado y siento que el cepillo me ayuda a distribuir mejor los aceites naturales por todo mi cabello, así que creo que es una buena idea para las chicas de cabello chino natural.

Me encantaría ver una diferencia significativa en el crecimiento de mi cabello ya que estoy intentando dejarlo largo, pero mi cabello ya crece bastante rápido por sí solo, así que no estoy segura de ello (les seguiré contando de eso)

Algo en lo que sí he estado pensando es el hecho de que utiliza baterías, así que necesitarás una batería AA y un desarmador para abrir la tapita de la batería y cambiarla, pero no te apures porque el cepillo ya trae su propio desarmador, lo cual se me hizo genial. Aún no lo he usado lo suficiente para que se me agote la batería, así que no puedo decirles más o menos cuanto dura, pero estoy pensando en que quizá las baterías recargables sean una buena opción.
