WHAT IS MICELLAR WATER AND WHY SHOULD I USE IT?

I’ve been a fan of biphasic make up removers for as long as I’ve been wearing make up, and I’ve tried everything, from baby oil, to wipes, and creams, and none has worked for me as well as biphasic ones have, I swear by them, they get the job done and are gentle with my skin and especially my eyes, but lately I’ve been hearing a lot about micellar water, and ever since I saw it a couple of months at the store I was intrigued, so I finally got myself to cheat on my beloved biphasic make up remover with a bottle of micellar water by Garnier, and today I want to share with you my experience with it so far and let you know about this kind of make up remover a bit more.

He sido súper fan del desmaquillante bifásico desde que uso maquillaje, los he probado todos, desde el aceite de bebé, hasta las toallitas, y las leches y ninguno me ha funcionado tan bien como los bifásicos, me gusta cómo me limpian y son suaves con mi piel y mis ojos, pero últimamente he leído mucho sobre el agua micelar, y desde que la vi hace meses en la tienda me embargó la curiosidad, así que finalmente decidí serle infiel a mi desmaquillante regular con una botella de agua micelar de Garnier, así que hoy te comparto mi experiencia con ella y hablarte un poco más de éste producto.

So, what is micellar water you ask? Micellar water is water with micelles, which are tiny oil particles suspended in the soft water, these micelles, are attracted to dirt, so they cleanse your skin softly without drying it out.

Entonces, ¿qué es el agua micelar? El agua micelar es agua con micelas, que son pequeñas partículas de aceite suspendidas en el agua, éstas micelas, se sienten atraídas por la tierra y suciedad por lo que limpian tu piel suavemente sin resecarla.

Here are my comments:

• It’s a bit weird using it the first couple of times, because it really feels like just water.
• It makes your skin feel fresh, and not oily like other make-up removers.
• There’s no scent to it.
• I swear it doesn’t irritate your eyes.
• Believe it or not I think this cleanses better than my trusted biphasic ones.
• I think this will last forever, it comes in such a big bottle.
• It’s the easiest method I’ve tried.

Aquí están mis comentarios:

• Al principio es medio raro usarlo, porque en verdad sientes que es sólo agua y no te limpiará.
• Deja tu piel súper fresca y no grasosa como otros productos.
• No tiene olor.
• Te juro que no te va a irritar los ojitos, aunque parezca que va a arder, nada.
• Aunque no lo creas, creo que me limpia mejor que mi confiable bifásico.
• Creo que me va a durar para siempre, la botella es enooorme.
• Es la manera más sencilla de desmaquillar que he usado.

Please make sure to rinse your face after using micellar water, cause just as it takes away dirt/grime, it takes away the good oils from your skin which can result in an unhealthy skin.

Por favor asegúrate de enjuagar tu cara después de usar el agua micelar, porque así como quita el maquillaje/suciedad, quita los aceites buenos que genera tu piel, lo que puede resultar en una piel seca o muy grasosa.
