HOLIDAY MAKE UP TUTORIAL

Hi guys, it’s been a while since I last did a make up post (my minimal make up routine), given the season I thought I’d try to show you how to achieve a festive look, and seriously, if I could that I’m no expert you can so it as well.

Hola, hace tiempo que hice mi último post de maquillaje (my minimal make up routine), y pues ya que estamos en ésta época, pensé en enseñarte cómo lograr un look que vaya de acuerdo a las festividades, y en serio, si yo pude y no soy una experta, tú también puedes. 

So you need to start with a clean face that’s been previously moisturized and has sunblock of course.

Necesitas empezar con tu cara limpia que ya ha sido humectada y le aplicaste protector solar por supuesto.

What you want to do next is apply a PRIMER, I like city color’s in spray.

Después necesitas aplicar un PRIMER, a mi me encanta el de city color en spray.

What I apply next is Maybelline’s baby skin pore eraser, just a tiny drop that I rub all over my face until my skin absorbs it.

Lo que aplico después es el reductor de poros baby skin de Maybelline, una gotita que embarro por toda mi cara hasta que se absorbe por completo.

Then I apply my make up foundation, I like using Bissú’s one I use it in 04 Sand (My review here) and use my beauty blender to do so. I rarely wear a full make up face, I’ve been blessed with a nice complection.

Luego aplico mi base de maquillaje, me gusta la de Bissú y la uso en el tono 04 Sand (Mi reseña aquí) y uso mi beauty blender para aplicarla. Casi nunca uso maquillaje así, la verdad es que tengo la fortuna de tener un buen cutis.

The next step is contouring, I use City Color’s Contour Effects palette, and I apply shadows first, bronzer second and highlights last, I use the beauty blender again to blend it in.

El siguiente paso es el contouring, uso la paleta Contour Effects de city color, primero las sombras, luego el bronzer y al último el iluminador, uso nuevamente mi beauty blender para difuminar todo.

For this look I want to get that dewey/glowy look, so I’m topping it off with essence’s cream to powder highlighter, I apply it with my fingers and then use the beauty blender, yet again.

Para éste look quiero ese toque brillante, así que encima le pongo el highlighter de essence, lo aplico con mis dedos y luego uso mi beauty blender una vez más.

Before I start with my eyes I like using an eyeshadow primer, so I’m going to apply that and wait for it to dry.

Antes de empezar con mis ojos me gusta aplicar un primer de ojos, así que lo esparzo en mis párpados y espero que seque.

While my primer dries I use an angled brush to fill in the gaps in my eyebrows. And I curl my eyelashes.

Mientras se seca mi primer uso un pincel angular para llenar los huequitos de mis cejas. Y me enchino las pestañas.

I’m going to use a golden eye shadow over my eyelid, I’m also going to use this to line my lower lash line.

Voy a usar una sombra dorada sobre mi párpado, también voy a usarla para delinear la parte inferior de mi ojo.

Next I used a brown matte eye shadow that I applied on the crease and outter V of my eyes, and an ivory one for the part that’s below my eyebrows  and in the inner corner of my eyes, I also used the brown eye shadow to line by bottom lashes. Blend it all in with a brush.

Después usé una sombra café para el pliegue y la v externa de mis ojos, y una color hueso para la parte superior del párpado y la esquina interior de mis ojos, la sombra café también la usé para delinear la parte inferior de mis ojos. Difumina todo con un pincel.

To top it off I use a rose gold pigment on the center of my eyelid.

Para darle el toque final uso un pigmento en tono rose gold en el centro de mis párpados.

Add some mascara.

Añade rímel.

And of course a red lip!

Y obvio un labial rojo.

Here’s the final look, I decided to curl my hair a bit on some soft waves, and I wore a red dress (by Prabal Gurung)  to my office’s New Year’s party.

Aquí está el look final, me hice ondas en el cabello y usé un vestido rojo (de Prabal Gurung) para la fiesta de fin de año de mi oficina.
