3 THINGS BLOGGERS WISH PEOPLE KNEW + OOTD

Hi guys! It’s wednesday already and today I want to share this post with you, I’m going to talk to you a little bit about blogging behind the scenes, cause many people don’t know much about all the inner workings of the trade, so scroll down to find out 10 things we all wish non-blogger people knew.

¡Hola! Ya es miércoles y hoy quiero compartir éste post, les voy a contar un poco sobre el detrás de cámaras de ser blogger, porque mucha gente no sabe qué onda con todo lo que implica serlo, así que sigue leyendo para saber 10 cosas que a veces deseamos que los no-bloggers supieran.

1. WE DON’T POST EVERYTHING ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Many people think that whenever we’re looking at our phones during a social situation is cause we’re sharing everything in our social media, well we don’t, I seriously don’t want to share this private moment with my friends and family with the whole world. What we share is a curated feed of our lives, which takes me to number 2.

1. NO COMPARTIMOS TOOOODO EN REDES SOCIALES

Mucha gente cree que cuando vemos nuestros teléfonos durante cualquier situación social es porque estamos compartiendo todo en nuestras redes sociales, neta no, no me dan ganas de compartir éste momento privado con mi familia y amigos para que toooodo el mundo lo vea. Lo que compartimos la mayoría de las veces es una selección curada de nuestras vidas, lo cual me lleva al punto número 2.

2. IT’S NOT AS GLAMOUROUS AS IT SEEMS

Sure scroll through any blogger’s instagram feed and you’ll see gorgeous shots of delicious food, heart attack worthy outfits, paradisiac vacation spots, super illuminated and tidy desks, to mention a few of the most popular themes, but what you don’t know is that our lives aren’t like that all the time, we do not eat out everyday, and you’re not seeing that bowl of bran cereal we had for breakfast monday morning, you’re not seeing all the pictures that went wrong for that outfit, or the days we just spend hanging out in our sweatpants while working on the next blog post, and that desk? it’s probably a lie, with all the work blogging involves, there’s no way ANY blogger’s desk looks like that all the time.

2. NO ES TAN GLAMOUROSO COMO PARECE

Échale un vistazo al instagram de cualquier blogger y te toparas con hermosas fotos de comida deliciosa, outfits de infarto, spots de vacaciones paradisiacas, escritorios mega iluminados y ordenados, por nombrar algunas de las fotos más populares, pero lo que mucha gente no sabe es que nuestras vidas no son así todo el tiempo, no comemos en la calle todos los días y probablemente no estás viendo el bowl de cereal de dieta que desayunamos el lunes, no ves todas las fotos horrendas de ese outfit o las ampollas que nos sacaron los zapatos, y ¿ese escritorio? es una MENTIRA, con todo el trabajo que involucra mantener un blog, no hay manera que el escritorio de ningún blogger se vea así todo el tiempo.

3. MOST OF US DON’T HAVE PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS TAKING OUR PICTURES

Of course there’s bloggers who can afford to hire a professional photographer for every outfit shoot on their blog, but most of us can’t, so our pictures are mostly taken by a boyfriend, husband, sibling, friend or parent, who most of the time have no idea of what they’re doing but want to help out even as clueless as they are, you can bet that behind most ootd posts there’re 290 pictures that didn’t make the cut.

3. LA MAYORÍA DE NOSOTROS NO TENEMOS FOTÓGRAFOS PROFESIONALES RETRATANDONOS

Claro que hay bloggers que pueden pagar un fotógrafo profesional para cada outfit que suben a su blog, pero la mayoría no lo hacemos, así que nuestras fotos son tomadas en su mayoría por un novio, esposo, hermano, amigo  o padre, quienes la mayoría de las veces no saben lo que están haciendo pero quieren ayudar, puedes apostar que detrás de cada post de outfit del día hay 290 fotos que no fueron seleccionadas.
