Hi there humans!

It is a new month today, and I’m super charged with energy and positive vibes to make the most of it, I want to start May sharing my lipstick collection with you, last year I did and tbh it was a small collection, but over the past year it’s really grown, so take a look at it, scroll down!

Hoy empieza un mes más, y vengo super recargada de energía y vibras positivas para vivirlo al máximo, quiero empezar Mayo compartiéndoles mi colección de lipsticks, el año pasado lo hice, y la verdad es que entonces era una colección super chiquita, pero durante el último año ha crecido, así que para verla toda sigue hacia abajo.

SAUCY LITTLE DARLING LIPSTICK

If you’ve been reading my blog, you know that a couple of weeks ago I was invited to MAC’s Nutcracker Sweet collection launch event — read more here —, and you also know how much I love their lipsticks, so today I want to share with you what I got that day.

Si has estado leyendo mi blog, sabes que hace unas semanas me invitaron al evento de lanzamiento de la colección Nutcracker Sweet de MAC — el chisme aquí —, y seguro también sabes lo mucho que me gustan sus labiales, así que hoy te enseñaré lo que compré ese día.

I decided I was only gonna get one cause I’ve so many already, and I don’t want them to go bad and unused so I have to control myself when buying lipsticks.

Decidí sólo comprar uno, porque ya tengo varios y la verdad es que no quiero que se hagan rancios y sin usarse, así que por eso me controlo cuando voy de compras.

I went for Saucy Little Darling, a pink one with a bit of a coral hue to it, it is an amplified creme lipstick, it’s very smooth and has just the perfect amount of shine to it.

Elegí el Saucy Little Darling, un tono rosa/coral, es de la gama amplified creme, es muy suave y tiene justo la cantidad de brillo sin ser demasiado.

Hi guys! Today I’m so excited to share with you this post, let me tell you, a couple of weeks ago, I got a call from the people at mac cosmetics in my city, they wanted me to assist to an event they’re having, the launch of the most important collection of the year they said.

So this past Saturday I attended the event which was absolutely gorgeous, they brought make up artists from other cities and they had this beautiful ballerina performing to the sound of The Nutcracker (you guessed it, the inspiration), everything was pink, purple and gold, really beautiful.

¡Hola! Estoy súper emocionada de compartirte éste post, déjame te cuento que hace unas semanas me llamaron de mac cosmetics aquí en Aguascalientes, para invitarme a un evento de lanzamiento de la colección más importante de este año, me platicó la encargada de tienda por teléfono, obvio tenía que ir.

Así que éste sábado que pasó fui al evento, estuvo padrísimo, había maquillistas de otras ciudades para ayudar a los chicos de aquí, había una hermosa bailarina haciendo un performance con la música del Cascanueces (sí, ésta fue la inspiración de la colección), todo era rosa, morado y dorado, divino.

As soon as I got there they assigned me my Make Up Artist, Betty, who came out all the way from Monterrey for the event, I swear to you guys, she’s the sweetest, she was so nice and chatty and professional and completely concerned about my make up needs.

En cuanto llegué me asignaron a mi maquillista, Betty, quien venía desde Monterrey para el evento, les juro que es una niña encantadora, súper amable y platicadora, muy profesional y preocupada con mis necesidades de maquillaje, así que si estás en Monterrey te recomiendo que vayas con ella, me dijo que está en la tienda de Valle Oriente, no te vas a arrepentir. 🙂

First she did my eyebrows, which I loved.

Primero las cejas ¡y las amé!

Next came the foundation, I wanted a medium coverage one, so she applied the Matchmaster 1.5 which has a matte finish and she told me you can build up in case you need more coverage.

I really liked the result.

She even used this tiny led light that she told me you can plug into your phone to take prettier selfies to light up my face and see that the shade was the right one for me, cause one can never be too sure.

Luego la base, yo quería cobertura media, por lo que aplicó la Matchmaster 1.5 con terminado mate y me dijo que con ésta puedes añadir más capas si necesitas mayor cobertura y no hay lío.

Me gustó mucho la textura que da.

Hasta usó una lamparita led padrísima que me contó que es para tomarte selfies más bonitas e iluminó mi rostro con ella para asegurarse de haber elegido el tono correcto para mi piel.

She asked me which shade I wanted for my lips, I suggested we go for a coral one.

She picked out the Retro Matte Liquid in “Back in Vogue”

I’d never tried this kind of lipstick before, and I loved it.

Me preguntó que tono me gustaría en los labios, elegí un coral.

Nunca había probado ésta línea de labiales de mac, la verdad es que me gustó mucho su acabado.

Then my eyes, some shadow in a nude/yellowish shade and she mixed a metallic one on top of that, eyelash curler, mascara and done!

Luego mis ojos, una sombra nude con tonos mostaza y le mezcló una metálica sobre la base nude, enchinador de pestañas, rímel y ¡listo!

I loved it!

Of course we had to exchange instagram usernames and take a picture together!

IT’S A STRIKE! MAC LIPSTICK REVIEW

As you know, I’m a HUGE mac lipstick fan, and I couldn’t not have something from their latest “It’s a strike!” collection, I was planning on getting three of the lipsticks HONEYLOVE, PERFECT SCORE and BOWL ME OVER, but when I finally got myself to the store they’re sold out and I only managed to get the HONEYLOVE one, which I’m in love with, it’s such a nice nude matte shade and I’m wearing it almost everyday since I got it. GET IT HERE

Como sabes, adoro MAC y sus lipsticks, así que no podía dejar pasar la colección “It’s a strike!”, yo había pensado comprar tres tonos HONEYLOVE, PERFECT SCORE y BOWL ME OVER, pero cuando por fin fui a comprarlos ya sólo tenían de esos tres el HONEYLOVE, que en realidad estoy amando porque es un tono nude mate y lo he usado casi diario desde que lo agregué a mi colección.

GOOD LUCK TROLLS REVIEW

Did you know the Troll Dolls came on the market for the first time in 1959? They were huge on the mid 60’s and then again in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, now, I remember having a couple of them as a child that were handed me down from my aunt and uncle, so when I found out that MAC was putting out a collection inspired in the new Trolls movie, I knew I had to get something, and what could be more perfect than this lipstick in Sushi Kiss shade? (Notice that this shades is basically impossible to get here in Mexico ATM and that the collection isn’t available in the country, but I took advantage of my aunt being in Chicago and I asked her to get me it) I’ve been obsessed with this shade for a few months now, so I was really excited when I got it (you know that if you saw my snapchat <jstlikehvn> story last weekend.) What can I say about it? Well, it has a satin finish, which makes it really pop out, it is perfect for everyday, for these pictures I decided I’d try something different, I went for rose gold glitter on my eyebrows and a bit of bronzer on my cheeks. As usual with MAC lipsticks I love the coverage they provide and how lasting they are. So if you are into this kind of peach-y/orange-y shades you’ll love this one.

Sabías que los famosos Trolls salieron a la venta por primera vez en 1959? Fueron muy populares a mediados de los 60’s y nuevamente en los 70’s, 80’s y 90’s, yo recuerdo haber tenido un par cuando era niña que me habían regalado mi tío y tía, así que cuando supe que MAC iba a sacar una colección inspirada en la nueva película de los Trolls, sabía que tenía que tener algo de esa colección, y ¿qué podía ser más perfecto que éste lipstick en el tono Sushi Kiss? (Cabe mencionar que es imposible encontrarlo en ésta tonalidad en México y que la colección no está disponible en el país, pero aproveché que mi tía estaba en Chicago y le encargué éste) he estado obsesionada con éste tono de labial por un par de meses ahora, así que ya se imaginarán mi emoción cuando lo tuve en mis manos (si vieron mi snapchat <jstlikehvn> el finde pasado habrán sido testigos de ésto.) ¿Qué les puedo decir de él? tiene un acabado satinado, que lo hace resaltar aún más, es perfecto para uso diario por su tonalidad, para éstas fotos decidí hacer algo distinto y usé glitter cobrizo en mis cejas y bronzer en lugar de blush en mis mejillas. Para variar con los labiales de MAC, adoro como cubre mis labios y su duración, si eres fan de los tonos durazno-coral-naranja amarás éste, así que te recomiendo que estés al pendiente para cuando vuelva a estar en stock en México.
