my favourite lipsticks

Today I want to share with you guys my three favourite lipsticks, so keep reading to find out more about them.

Like I told you before I’m not a big make-up junkie, but I’ve recently developed a love for lipsticks, so today I’m making a review of my favourite ones to help you in case you’re wanting to try any of these brands.

Como te platiqué antes, no soy muy aficionada al maquillaje, pero últimamente me ha llegado un amor por los labiales, así que hoy te comparto una reseña de mis favoritos en caso de que hayas estado pensando en probar cualquiera de estas marcas.

1. CHANEL

This was my first “grown woman” lipstick, it was a birthday gift from my amazing boyfriend, who had to look all over the place to get me this shade (no kidding, he had to buy it out of the country cause it was sold out here in Mexico and he could only get it in the US after looking in a ton of stores for it) so this is the CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE in 104 PASSION, it’s classic red and to be honest with you, it’s the most delicious thing you’ll ever feel on your lips, it’s so creamy and has a lovely matte finish, this is probably one of the non-indelible most longlasting lipsticks I’ve ever tried. I highly recommend them, they’re pricy cause they’re high end but it’s totally worth it! You won’t regret it! GET IT HERE

Éste fue mi primer labial de “mujer adulta”, me lo regaló mi novio de cumpleaños, el pobre tuvo que buscar cielo, mar y tierra para encontrarlo en éste tono (e serio, me lo tuvo que traer de Estados Unidos porque en México ya estaba agotado, y ésto después de recorrer un montón de tiendas por allá) sin más preámbulo, éste es el CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE en el tono 104 PASSION, es el rojo clásico y para ser honesta, es la cosa más deliciosa que sentirán tus labios, es muy cremoso y tiene un acabado mate, es uno de los lipsticks no-indelebles con mayor duración que he probado. En verdad lo recomiendo, es algo costoso pero es maquillaje de lujo y vale la pena la inversión, lo puedes encontrar AQUÍ

2. MAC

We’ve had a MAC corner at the mall for nearly two years now, I think, and I’d never been there (see how much I used to be into make up?) until a month ago or so, so my boyfriend’s sister gave me my first MAC lipstick maybe two months ago? and I was in love, MAC has an amazing variety of shades and finishes for their lipsticks, and I don’t think they’re as expensive as a Chanel one but they do have the quality, they’re super long lasting and they don’t dry out my lips, I will certainly be purchasing more shades from them in the future, at the moment I own three of them DIVA (on the left) with a matte finish, the vibrant VIOLETTA AMPLIFIED wich I love cause it just ads so much fun to any look, my bf thought it was a tad too much, but I love it I’ve recieved tons of compliments on it, (on the right) and recently I got the RUNAWAY HIT one (not pictured) cause I needed a more discreet one for everyday purposes, and I’m in love with it and its matte finish.

Hace como dos años que pusieron un corner de MAC en el centro comercial, creo, y nunca había entrado (notese mi afición al maquillaje) hasta hace como un mes, mi cuñada me regaló mi primer labial MAC hace como dos meses, y me enamoré, tienen una cantidad impresionante de colores y acabados en toda su línea de labiales, no son tan caros como uno Chanel pero tienen una calidad increible, duran un montón y no resecan mis labios, definitivamente compraré más, ahorita tengo tres, el DIVA (foto de la izquierda) que es mate, el vibrante VIOLETTA AMPLIFIED (foto de la derecha) que me encanta porque hace cualquier look súper divertido, mi novio me dijo que se le hacía súper llamativo, pero él no lo usa, y he recibido muchos cumplidos, recientemente compré el RUNAWAY HIT (no hay foto) porque necesitaba una opción más discreta para el diario y la verdad es que me encanta con el acabado mate que tiene.

3. ESSENCE

This is a drugstore brand, I was quite surprised with it cause of all the different shades they have, I like the feel of it on my lips, it’s quite smooth, I got this (11 NUDE LOVE) cause I needed an everyday shade, and thought this might be it, I wasn’t able to try it cause they didn’t have one available for try outs so I just took the plunge and got it, after all it wasn’t so pricey, this is definitely as long lasting as the previous ones, and its coverage isn’t as good, but it gets the job done, I think I’d get another one but probably in another shade to see its coverage. If you’re looking for a non expensive but nice lipstick this might be it.

Essence es una marca más económica, la puedes encontrar en el supermercado, me sorprendió porque tiene lindos colores y una gran variedad, me gusta lo suave que es con mis labios, lo compré buscando un tono para diario y pensé que el 11 NUDE LOVE sería una buena elección, pero no estaba muy segura porque no tenían probadores disponibles en tienda, así que me aventé y lo compre, después de todo no fue caro ($59.00mxn) la verdad es que no es tan durable como los otros y no tiene muy buena cobertura, sólo si aplico un poco de base de maquillaje en mis labios antes, pero eso le quita practicidad, quizá lo volvería a comprar en otro tono más oscuro para checar si cubre mejor, si buscas un lipstick al que no le quieras invertir mucho pero con lindos colores quizá ésta sea una opción.
