EMBRACE MESSY HAIR

There is something absolutely amazing about living a day with messy hair, isn’t there? I just think it gives you this understated cool vibe, long gone are the days of perfectly polished and coiffed hair. Cause being honest, ain’t nobody got time for that!

I think we can all agree that we’d rather spend another 10 minutes in bed than having perfect hair that’ll only get ruined by the rain eventually, in an age where women are foregoing make up more than ever before, messy hair just adds to our stylish sneaker clad outfits.

Comfort is everything these days.

Hay algo increíble en vivir un día con el cabello despeinado, ¿a poco no? Creo que te da esa vibra cool cero pretenciosa, los días del cabello súper arreglado y peinado por horas se han ido. Porque siendo honestas, ¡nadie tiene tiempo para eso!

Creo que todas podemos coincidir en que preferiríamos pasar 10 minutos en la cama a tener cabello perfecto que sólo acabará arruinándose con la lluvia eventualmente, en una época donde las mujeres están descartando el maquillaje más que nunca antes, el cabello revuelto sólo le añade a nuestros estilosos outfits con tenis.

La comodidad lo es todo en ésta época.

So yeah, millennial women are probably ruining the hair and beauty industry, but at this point, it’s just another industry to add to the pile of the ones we’ve allegedly ruined since the millennial term became so embedded in our vocabulary.

I say 2017 be the year we embrace messy hair and make up-less looks because c’mon, we all look way better than the boys do, and anything they can do, we can do better.

Así que las mujeres millennial probablemente estamos arruinando la industria de productos para el cabello y el maquillaje, pero a éstas alturas, sólo añade al montón de las que ya destruimos supuestamente desde que el término se volvió tan acuñado en nuestro vocabulario.

Yo opino que el 2017 sea el año donde tomemos control del cabello despeinado y los looks sin maquillaje, porque vamos, todas nos vemos mejor así de lo que se ven ellos, y cualquier cosa que ellos hagan, nosotros podemos hacerlo mejor.

So anyway, this is what I wore, a plaid over-sized coat with 3/4 sleeves and hightop sneakers that I got from ROSEWHOLESALE (yep, they’re sponsoring this post in case you’re wondering), I really liked the coat, it’s pretty thick and heavy, super warm, and an eye-catcher. The sneakers are super cool, they’re a bit on the smaller size, so if you like roomy shoes I’d definitely go a size up.

Como sea, ésto es lo que usé, un abrigo a cuadros con mangas 3/4 y tenis tipo hightop que me mandaron de ROSEWHOLESALE (sí, están patrocinando éste post por si te lo preguntabas), en verdad me gustó el abrigo, el material está super grueso y pesado, es muy calentito y atrae mucho la atención. Los tenis están super cool, vienen un poco reducidos, así que si eres de las que gustan de los zapatos amplios, yo elegiría una talla arriba de lo normal.

Jeans are by Old Navy, the Rockstar ones, I’ve had them for a couple of years now and they’re as good as new, I really like these from them.

Basic V Neck from ZARA that I actually got last sale season, it’s super soft and on the bigger size, I love its shade of gray.

Los jeans son de Old Navy, el modelo Rockstar, los he tenido desde hace unos años y están como nuevos, me encanta éste modelo.

La playera básica de ZARA que compré en rebajas la última temporada, está super suavecita y grande, adoro el tono de gris.

HOW TO STYLE A MIDI SKIRT FOR FALL

Today I want to share with you this look, I was just reading a couple of weeks ago a blog post on how to make monochrome outfits more interesting, at the time I’d just shot these pictures, and it made me realize I wasn’t so lost when talking about minimal+monochrome looks, apparently the key to keep these kind of looks interesting is in the mix of materials and textures you bring to the mix, in this case I mixed a chunky knit with a textured and see-through skirt plus the backpack’s vegan leather is a bit shiny and textured as well, speaking about the backpack, this is one of my ROSEWHOLESALE pieces I had stuck in the mail, I finally got it and it’s pretty amazing, you can fit a lot of things in it, so far the quality seems fine and it even comes with a duster bag for storage.

Hoy te quiero compartir éste look, justo hace un par de semanas estaba leyendo un post en un blog que sigo sobre cómo volver los outfits monocromáticos, más interesantes, en ese momento acababa de tomar las fotos para éste look, y me hizo darme cuenta de que no estoy tan perdida cuando se trata de looks minimalistas y monocromáticos, aparentemente el secreto está en la mezcla de texturas y materiales de las prendas, en éste caso mezclé un suéter con un tejido grueso y pesado con una falda midi que es transparente y con una textura a cuadros, además la textura de la backpack es algo brillante, hablando de ella, no sé si te acuerdas que les conté en mi Instagram que tenía unos paquetes en el correo atorados en aduanas, pues por fin me llegó uno de ellos y tenía mi tan ansiada backpack de ROSEWHOLESALE, la verdad es que me está gustando bastante y probablemente me veas usándola mucho en siguientes looks, hasta ahorita la calidad se ve buena, le caben muchas cosas y los cierres se ven aguantadores, además de que trae su bolsita para protegerla del polvo cuando esté guardada.

Hi guys! I’m back with a new OOTD post, even when fall’s start is just around the corner it’s still warm enough here in Mexico to keep on wearing some summer pieces so today it’s time for me to show you this outfit, if you remember, last month I hosted a ROSE WHOLESALE WISHLIST, well, about a week or so after that post the people at ROSE WHOLESALE and SAMMY DRESS contacted me, wanting to work with me, I got to pick some of my favorites, but sadly most of the items on that wishlist were out of stock, the only thing I managed to snag were the slides, so today I want to share one of the outfits I’ll be styling for them, I wish I could share with you all of them at once, but saddly, I’m still waiting for two more packages to clear customs, I hope by the end of this week I’ll be able to share them with you, so stay tuned.

¡Hola! Hoy estoy de vuelta con un nuevo outfit, a pesar de que el otoño está a la vuelta de la esquina, aún hace bastante calor aquí en Aguascalientes para seguir usando prendas veraniegas, así que hoy quiero compartirte éste outfit, si recuerdas el mes pasado les compartí un wishlist de ROSE WHOLESALE, pues como una semana después de ésto me contactaron de ROSE WHOLESALE y SAMMY DRESS, con muchas ganas de colaborar conmigo, pude elegir algunas prendas de ambas marcas, por desgracia muchas de las prendas que estaban en ese wishlist ya estaban agotadas y sólo pude elegir las sandalias, así que hoy te comparto el look que armé, estaba esperando poder mostrarte todos mis regalos en un solo post, pero desafortunadamente aún hay dos paquetes retenidos en la aduana, espero para fines de ésta semana tenerlos en mis manos para poder compartirte el resto de mis looks, así que estáte pendiente.

This was my first time getting something from either one of this stores, and I liked that you can make a “favorites” list, I just spent a while “window shopping” and had a blast, another thing I liked was that they sent me pictures of my package as it was being transported and that on both sites you can easily track your package through Neatherlands Post Service.

Ésta fue la primera ocasión en la que ordené algo de ambas tiendas, me gusta que puedes marcar tus productos favoritos, yo me la pasé súper entretenida viendo sus miles de productos y eligiendo todo lo que me gustaba, otra cosa que me gustó muchísimo es que te van enviando fotos de tus paquetes y puedes rastreárlos súper fácil por el Servicio Postal Holandés.

On this ocassion I was pleased that the sizing was accurate, maybe only my dress was a tad too short for my taste, but I’m a tall girl, I think anyone else would find it really accurate, but I still loved it, the bag, well, I’m so in love, I think it’s become one of my favorites! And the sandals I liked them so much since I was making that wishlist post, I think they fit my style perfectly, thoug they’re not as comfy as I thought they’d be, maybe I need to break them in a bit, I’ll keep you posted.

Me gustó ver que su tallaje es justo como lo describen en el sitio, el vestido quizá está muy corto, pero soy alta, entonces creo que a otras chicas les quedaría perfecto, aún así me gustó mucho, la bolsa la adoré desde que la vi y ya que llegó fue más linda de lo que imaginé, creo que se volverá de mis favoritas. Las sandalias las amé tanto que por eso estaban en mi wishlist, se adhieren perfecto a mi estilo, pero no son tan cómodas como pensé que serían, quizá es cuestión de usarlas un poco más.
