Okay, so, I’m not gonna pretend I’m not a freak when it comes to closet organization, just to give you an idea, my closet has no doors, only open shelving and you’re welcome to take a look at it any time you please cause it will probably be perfectly neat. So I thought I’d share with you guys some tips for closet organization.
Ok, no voy a fingir que no soy una obsesiva cuando se trata de organizar mi closet, sólo para que te des una idea, mi closet no tiene puertas, son repisas y racks, y puedes verlo en cualquier momento que gustes porque probablemente estará perfectamente ordenado. Así que pensé que les compartiría algunos de mis tips para mantenerlo así.
GET MATCHING HANGERS | COMPRA GANCHOS IGUALES
Ok so this might sound so so simple, but you’d be amazed at the big difference having all your hangers match makes, it gives your closet a more put together look, it may be an investment at first but trust me, it’s worth it, I use these slim velvet ones and they make a big difference, plus, they’re so slim they leave space for more.

PURGE CONSTANTLY | DESHAZTE DE COSAS CONSTANTEMENTE
Most people hoard clothing items for years and years, for when they lose weight, for when they gain weight, for when they have that fancy event, for when they have children, and so on, truth is, unless you’re Iris Apfel, you don’t need to hoard all those clothes, in case you end up losing/gaining weight you can buy it later, if the trend comes back in 10 years, chances are, you won’t fit into those bell bottoms from the aughts, so just go get a pair your current size. Don’t wait years between closet purges, I do it twice a year, sometimes more often. If you haven’t worn it in more than a year, you won’t do it any time soon, so just, let it go.
La mayoría de las personas guardan la ropa por años, para cuando bajen de peso, para cuando suban de peso, para ese evento especial, para sus nietos, y así sucesivamente, la verdad es que, a menos de que seas Iris Apfel, no necesitas acumular todas esas cosas, en el caso de que pierdas/ganes peso puedes ir a comprar algo entonces, si la tendencia regresa diez años después, probablemente ya no vas a entrar en esos pantalones acampanados de los 00’s, así que ve y compra un par de tu talla. No esperes años entre limpiezas de closet, yo lo hago dos veces al año, a veces más seguido. Si no lo has usado en más de un año, no lo vas a usar ya, así que mejor déjalo ir.

Tener un closet ordenado no es algo sencillo, requiere tiempo, dedicación y mantenimiento, intenta hacer algo a diario, por ejemplo, cada noche muevo los ganchos vacíos al final del rack, de éste modo sé que todos mis ganchos tienen algo colgando de ellos, verás que de éste modo es muchísimo más fácil mantener un closet ordenado.
