1 YEAR LATER: MY FITNESS JOURNEY

Hi guys!! I’m so excited to share this with you today, let me tell you, today it’s one year since the day I started practicing pole fitness steadily and taking better care of myself.

¡Hola!

It’s been one crazy year guys, it’s had it’s ups and downs and it has gone by so fast, I can’t believe I’ve been all fitness-y for a year now, I’m so proud of myself. You know, I’ve never really struggled with weight, so that wasn’t a goal when I first got into pole fitness, I just wanted to do something to keep my body healthy and make it stronger, well a year later I can tell you I feel so much stronger, my body has changed so much in these past 12 months, I’m still skinny but in a healthy “muscle-y” way and I’m liking it, I can feel how my whole body is more toned and strong now, I’m doing things I never thought I would be able to and it makes me happy.

I think that’s one of the best things about pole fitness, it makes you feel strong, badass, unstoppable, powerful. When I started a year ago I never thought I’d be able to do so many things, and now, a year later I’ve realized how strong, brave, fierce and flexible I am, last month we celebrated National Urban Pole Fitness day and it was so awesome, that I actually cried over how happy it makes me (a very tired me cried actually), there’s really not much I can say, just that I’m happy I took the decision a year ago to do this for myself, and I hope to keep on doing it for years to come.

THE GOALS 1 YEAR LATER

Last year I listed my health goals here on the blog, and I though that now is the perfect time to revisit that list and update you on my progress.

  • Quit smoking (10 14 weeks so far!). 13 months today!
  • Working out (EDIT: 2 months!). 1 year today, started doing it twice a week, now I’m doing it thrice a week.
  • Drink more water (started on September 1st the #watergallonchallenge). I drink between 1lt and 1.5lts daily.
  • Going to bed earlier. – 11:00pm is the latest I go to bed on weekdays.
  • Cut back on sugars. – I barely have sugars now, I now pay attention to added sugars on processed foods.
  • Start running to eventually run a marathon. – Still on hold, maybe this year?
  • EDIT: Start a steady skin care routine – Created my own and even made a post about it.
  • EDIT (20/07/17): I tried dieting for almost three months, I wish to go back to it.
  • EDIT (20/07/17): Meditate on a daily basis.

– Aún no, quizá éste año.
  • EDICIÓN (20/07/2017): Meditar a diario.
