5 THINGS TO LOVE ABOUT FALL

Like I’ve said before, I’m not cold’s biggest fan, but I’m this year I’m trying to keep a positive view on the season and its silver linings, so I decided in order to help myself see them I’d make a list of 5 things that I like about the season.

Como te he platicado antes, no soy la mayor fan del clima frío, pero ésta año intento verle el lado bueno y es por eso que decidí hacer una lista de las cinco cosas que me gustan de ésta temporada.

DARK LIPSTICK | LIPSTICKS OSCUROS

This season calls for dark lipstick shades so make the most of them and why not give them a chance? I personally love how these shades look on me.

Ésta temporada es para tonos de labial súper oscuro, todo se vale, así que dales una oportunidad, yo en lo personal amo como se me ven las tonalidades oscuras.

SWEATER WEATHER | CLIMA PARA SUÉTERES

Time to pull out those pretty knits you have in storage and get all cozy in one of them.

Es hora de sacar todos esos lindos suéteres que tienes guardados y armar lindos y calentitos outfits.

PUMPKIN CARVING | TALLAR CALABAZAS

Now, pumpkin carving isn’t a Mexican tradition, but it’s a tradition I picked up four years ago when living in the US, and ever since then every year I get myself a pumpkin and carve it out, and it’s something I truly enjoy, and speaking of Mexican traditions, we have Day of the Dead on November 2nd, which I love too, so I’m gonna include it here, we have delicious hot chocolate and pan de muerto, and there’s the altars and the flowers and the sugar skull candy.

Tallar calabazas no es una tradición Mexicana, pero es una que adopté hace cuatro años cuando vivía en Estados Unidos, y desde entonces cada año me compro una calabaza y la tallo, es algo que disfruto muchísimo, hablando de tradiciones Mexicanas, el 2 de Noviembre celebramos el Día de Muertos, que es una de mis celebraciones favoritas, así que también entra en ésta categoría, me encanta el pan de muerto, el chocolate caliente, los altares, las flores y las calaveritas de azúcar.

HOT BEVERAGES | BEBIDAS CALIENTES

I’m a sucker for hot beverages, I’ll be the one asking for a hot cuppa in the middle of summer, and if it’s also a seasonal beverage then I’m sold, to be honest a few days ago I was reading another fellow blogger’s post about supporting local coffee shops and I told her I almost never stop by Starbucks, but today you caught me red handed, I couldn’t help myself and get a cup of PSL from them, so you can only imagine how happy the fact that this season enables me to drink as much hot beverages as possible makes me.

Soy la fan número uno de las bebidas calentitas, soy la persona a la que ves ordenando una taza caliente de té a la mitad del verano y si además de caliente es una bebida estacional entonces me pierdes por completo, por lo que te puedes imaginar lo feliz que me hace el hecho de que ésta temporada me permita beber tantas cosas calentitas como se pueda.
