El pasado diciembre estuve en el Área de la Bahía por trabajo, pero tuve un día libre por lo que decidí aprovechar y ver San Francisco en menos de 24 horas, así que se me ocurrió hacer esta entrada con cosas que puedes hacer si tienes al menos 24 horas ahí.
Since I wasn’t staying in San Francisco, I got up early and took the BART to Embarcadero, which was only $6.30.

BREAKFAST
I hadn’t had anything for breakfast so I stopped by a place called Cafe Terminus in San Francisco’s Financial District, where I had some tea and a ciabatta.

No había desayunado por lo que llegué a un lugar llamado Cafe Terminus en el Distrito Financiero de San Francisco, donde tomé un té y comí una chapata.
THE PIER
After breakfast I walked to the pier which was only a few blocks away, this place is nice for pictures, here you can find The Ferry Building, where you can find some food places and cafés, I didn’t have anything there so I’m not really sure if there’s anything good, but it’s worth the try.

EL MUELLE
Después del desayuno caminé al muelle que estaba a unas cuadras, es un lindo lugar para fotos y en el Ferry Building encontrar lugares para comer y cafeterías, no comí nada ahí, así que no estoy segura de si hay comida buena, pero quizá vale la pena probarlo.
TRANSAMERICA PYRAMID
After the pier, I went to the Transamerica Pyramid, which is an iconic San Francisco building, and you can get some really nice pictures if you walk a little bit away from it on Columbus Avenue. There’s nothing much to see there but you like I said, is a nice spot for a picture (the best spot IMO is over Columbus Ave. where it intersects with Kearny St. by Cafe Zoetrope).

PIRÁMIDE TRANSAMERICA
Después del muelle, fui a la Pirámide Transamerica, un icónico edificio en San Francisco en donde puedes tomar lindas fotos si te alejas un poco de él sobre Columbus Avenue. No hay mucho que ver ahí, pero como dije, puedes sacar lindas fotos (el mejor lugar en mi opinión es sobre Columbus Ave. donde intersecta con Kearny St, justo frente al Cafe Zoetrope).
LOMBARD STREET
Lombard Street is actually a famous street in San Francisco, cause it is a zig zag street, literally, you’ll see lots of tourists there taking pictures as it is too a nice place to take pictures, once again, nothing else to do besides the picture spot, but hey, it’s a weird street worth seeing!

La calle Lombard es una calle famosa en San Francisco, es una calle que hace zig zag, literal, encontrarás a muchos otros turistas tomando fotos porque es genial para ello, nuevamente, no hay nada más que hacer aquí mas que tomar fotos, pero vale la pena ver una calle tan rara.
LUNCH
Now, I didn’t really stop for lunch that day, but I’m just putting this here in case you want to take my route this would be a good moment to stop for some lunch. I want to note that I did most of this tour by foot, so I got to see lots of the city and areas like Russian Hill and Chinatown.

COMIDA
No me detuve a comer ese día, pero estoy poniendo esto aquí en caso de que quieras seguir mi ruta, este sería un buen momento para detenerte a comer algo, quiero aclarar que todo el recorrido hasta este punto lo hice caminando por lo que pude ver diversas áreas de la ciudad como Russian Hill y Chinatown.
MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS
I took an Uber to the Museum of Fine Arts because it was a long way from Lombard Street, now, I did’t go in the museum, but spent some time in its gardens which are stunning and once again, perfect for pictures, because blogger life lol.

Tomé un Uber al Museo de Bellas Artes porque estaba bastante alejado de Lombard Street, la verdad no entré al museo pero pasé un rato en sus jardines que son bellísimos y perfectos para fotos, porque, blogger life.
GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
I took another Uber to Golden Gate Bridge Park Welcome Center, cause, this one too is way too far away to walk to, there you can do some hiking and get close to the bridge for some pictures, the whole place has historic information on the bridge and its construction, there’s also a spot where you can get some food, but I don’t think I’d recommend it, you’ll also find a souvenir store, where I of course got some post cards (I collect them) to bring back home. I stayed there until sunset to be able to see the bridge at dusk.

GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
Tomé otro Uber al Golden Gate y su Centro de Visitantes, porque también está alejado y no se puede ir a pie, pero ya estando ahí puedes tomar una caminata y acercarte al puente, el lugar está lleno de información histórica sobre el puente y su construcción, también hay un lugar para comer, pero no me late que esté bueno, también encontrarás una tienda de regalos, donde yo obviamente compré postales (las colecciono) para traer a casa. Me quedé ahí hasta el ocaso para ver el puente al atardecer.
DINNER
After the sun went down I took another Uber back to the city and stopped by the In n’ Out Burger on Jefferson St., cause that’s one of my favorite spots whenever I’m in California, so I had to have one.
2020 UPDATE
If you’re looking for something fancier and are a fan of seafood, I suggest you stop by Fog Harbor, the crab risotto is to die for.

Ya que anocheció tomé otro Uber de vuelta a la ciudad y me paré en el In n’ Out Burger de Jefferson St. porque es uno de mis lugares favoritos de hamburguesas cuando estoy en California, así que tenía que comerme una.
UPDATE 2020
Si estás buscando algo más elegante y amas los mariscos te recomiendo ir a Fog Harbor, el risotto de cangrejo está para morirse.
THE CITY AT NIGHT
After dinner I walked along The Embarcadero and enjoyed the view of the skyline at night which was breathtaking.

Después de cenar caminé por el Embarcadero y disfruté la vista de la ciudad de noche que fue impresionante.
