*Ok, so let me tell you a bit of the garment I’m wearing, in case you don’t know about it, it is called Huipil (pronounced we-peel) it’s a traditional mexican garment for women, it’s been used since pre-hispanic times, the fabric is woven on a waist loom and it can have tons of different designs and colors, mine’s made in Oaxaca but it was a gift from my boyfriend, we got it at the FONART store in downtown Mexico City about a month ago, you can find their online store on the previous link with tons of artisanal products from Mexico made by talented artisans. So yeah, that’s my small lesson on huipiles.

*Ok, les voy a contar un poco sobre lo que tengo puesto en caso de que no sepan, se llama Huipil y es una prenda tradicional mexicana para mujeres, se han usado desde tiempos prehispánicos, la tela se teje en un telar de cintura y los diseños y colores varían, el mío es Oaxaqueño y fue un regalo de mi novio, lo compramos en la tienda de FONART en CDMX, cerca de la alameda y bellas artes, pero también pueden dar click al link y ver la tienda en línea con muchísimos productos artesanales hechos por talentosas manos mexicanas.
