Lunes mis bebés, hoy les platico un poquito de la colección de Ruby Fang en NYFW esta temporada. Así que sigan leyendo para ver esta hermosa colección y enterarse un poco más de ella.
The show took place on a rainy Sunday at Industria Studios, I’d been there earlier for the Nonie show and was excited for my second show that day, when it was time for the show to start the music set the perfect ambience, it was letting us know about an epic collection we were about to see.

El show tuvo lugar un lluvioso Domingo en Industria Studios, había estado ahí antes ese día para el show de Nonie y estaba bastante emocionada por mi segundo show ese día, cuando fue momento de que empezara, la música creó el ambiente perfecto, haciéndonos saber que estábamos por ver una colección épica.
The collection’s main inspiration is the balance between eastern and western cultures, I loved all the little nods to Ruby’s Chinese heritage on the collection, they were pretty subtle and definitely made a statement.
As for textures we saw lots of satin, transparencies, feathers and embroidered shimmery details. While the collection featured mainly dresses with full skirts and off the shoulders necklines, we also saw mao collars and skin tight gowns and super chic pantsuits.
One of the things that I liked about this show was that I really don’t think there was a piece I did not like, every piece was a surprise, especially the show stopping dress with wich miss Fang chose to close the show with.
La inspiración principal de la colección es el balance entre las culturas occidental y oriental, me encantó todas las pequeñas referencias a la herencia China de Ruby en su colección, eran bastante sutiles y hacían una fuerte declaración.
En cuanto a las texturas el satín, las transparencias, plumas y detalles de lentejuelas bordadas no faltaron. Aunque la colección era en su mayoría vestidos de faldas voluminosas y escotes off the shoulders, también vimos cuellos mao, vestidos entallados cortados al sesgo y trajes de pantalón de lo más chic.
Una de las cosas que me gustó de este show fue que a pesar de que no es muy mi estilo no hubo una salida que no me gustara, cada prenda fue una sorpresa, especialmente el increíble vestido rojo con el que decidió cerrar el show.
